Trade

Alexandria was an extremely large and splendid city, much like Rome, as well as having many inhabitents. Alexandria had an extremely good location in terms of trading potential. It was a meeting place of some very important trade routes, and for this reason, it was well placed for trading on a large scale. Due to this, Rome was extremely attracted to the prospects of trading with Alexandria under its empire.
