The Great Harbour
The Great Harbour of Ancient Alexandria was extremely atractive to merchants an businessmen as the harbour itself was incredibly safe. It also had a large amount of dock-workers to handle cargoes, as well as large storage warehouses. The Great Harbour also stood at the meeting-place of important trade routes. This made Alexandria an extremely important city within the Roman Empire.
